Farming with Predators presents: Playing with Predators

Alongside you can see an example of a card. The yellow parts are just information. The red, blue and green parts are used to play the game. You can play with 2 or more players.

Here is how you play the game:
To start the game, shuffle and deal all the cards face down. Each player holds their cards so that they can see the top card only.
The youngest player chooses one category (caller). In case of "max age" and "max speed" there is only one value. In case of the other categories, the player can choose either the minimum, or the maximum value.
If any of the other players think they can guess what animal the caller has in his hand, they put their top card down in the middle... the first player to put his card down can guess. If he guesses the card correctly, he wins the card (and any other cards in the middle), becoming the next caller. If he guess wrong, the caller wins all the cards in the middle and can continue with the next card. Everyone now needs to read out the value of the called category from their cards. The one with the best value, (minimum or maximum, depending on what was called) wins. If any card does not have a maximum/minimum for that category, it is considered a tie (see below). The winner of this round collects all the top cards (including his own) and moves them to the bottom of his pile. The winner can now choose a category from the next card (becoming the next caller). When a player has all cards, he wins the game.
In there is a tie (equal values), all cards are put in the middle. The caller can call the special ability (text shown in light brown colour) of his next card:
- If the special ability is "Population", the smallest number (most threatened species) wins.
- The special ability of the honey badger (Tough animal that even scare lions) can be called at any time. If anybody has a lion, the player with the honey badger card wins the lion card and becomes the next caller. If none of the other players have a lion on top, the honey badger card goes in the middle. The caller can make another call with his next card. Whoever wins this round, also wins the honey badger card in the middle.
- If it is any other unique ability, it changes one of the existing categories as indicated on the card (e.g. Leopard: can store prey in a tree -> its weight value now increases to 180 kg).
